Delivering the latest news and various information about MCNEX to you.
Here we share with you various MCNEX stories.
Building on the technological capabilities accumulated in mobile and automotive camera solutions, MCNEX is expanding its future growth portfolio beyond autonomous sensing into robotics, XR, wearables, and automotive semiconductor packaging.
Leveraging its strengths in precision sensing and high-volume manufacturing, the company is advancing toward becoming a technology partner capable of creating new value across a wide range of future industries. Recent initiatives—including the advancement of key autonomous driving sensors, expansion into robot-oriented ToF solutions and reducers, the launch of SiP and OSAT businesses, and the establishment of a production base in India—demonstrate this strategic direction.
MCNEX aims to move beyond supplying automotive cameras and take another step forward as a sensing platform company encompassing the core perception technologies required for autonomous driving.
Through government-backed projects, the company has developed a Flash LiDAR sensing module and an 8-megapixel thermal-image fusion 3D camera for Level 4 autonomous driving. These technologies are intended to support more precise perception in environments where conventional camera-based systems may face limitations, including harsh weather and nighttime conditions.
MCNEX has also developed nanostructure polarization technology designed to improve visibility and recognition performance under challenging conditions such as glare, reflected light, and backlighting. By introducing high-resolution integrated cameras and in-cabin safety technologies, the company is expanding beyond component supply toward integrated ADAS and autonomous sensing solutions.
Going forward, MCNEX seeks to expand the convergence potential of cameras, LiDAR, radar, and other sensing technologies to deliver practical value in the future mobility market.

Humanoid robots, widely regarded as a key area of future industry, are expected to incorporate approximately 8 to 20 cameras and a wide range of sensing technologies per unit. Based on the capabilities developed in automotive cameras and semiconductor packaging, MCNEX is exploring ways to apply its 3D ToF camera module technology to humanoid robots as a potential new growth area.
This demonstrates the scalability of MCNEX sensing technologies in the robotics market, where precise recognition of space, distance, objects, and motion is essential. The company’s optical design, image processing, and mass-production experience can provide a foundation for robotic vision systems that must accurately perceive their surroundings and working targets.
At the same time, MCNEX is extending the ultra-precise drive-control technologies accumulated through its camera actuator business and is pursuing entry into reducers for robot joints. This represents a strategic expansion toward securing both sensing and actuation capabilities rather than responding only to increasing camera demand.
MCNEX views robotics as a future industry in which its existing core technologies can be extended naturally and intends to build competitiveness in this area step by step.

MCNEX is also expanding the potential of sensing technologies in future interfaces that connect people and devices. Through the development of ultra-compact 3D ToF cameras for XR devices, the company has presented solutions capable of delivering precise 3D recognition within smaller and lighter form factors.
ToF technology enables fast and accurate distance measurement across applications including autonomous driving, AR, VR, robotics, and spatial computing. MCNEX aims to combine compact optical design, sensing technology, and production capabilities to support next-generation spatial interfaces.
The company is also securing growth potential in wearables and digital healthcare through biometric sensor modules. Alongside modules capable of monitoring heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, and skin temperature, MCNEX has continued to expand its portfolio across VR, AR, 3D cameras, biometric sensing, and IoT business solutions.
This trajectory—from smart homes to XR and wearables—shows how MCNEX is evolving beyond image-capturing cameras toward interface technologies capable of understanding and responding to both spatial information and user conditions.

MCNEX is fostering automotive semiconductor packaging as a future core business beyond its camera module-centered operations. By entering SiP and OSAT businesses, the company is expanding its integrated capabilities from image sensor package production to camera module manufacturing.
This marks an important milestone in MCNEX’s effort to move beyond individual sensor manufacturing and secure additional value at the package, module, and system levels. The company intends to develop semiconductor packaging into a mid- to long-term growth pillar in response to rising demand for higher performance and greater integration in automotive semiconductors.
MCNEX is also strengthening global supply chain stability and local responsiveness by establishing a large-scale production base in India. Through its global manufacturing network, the company aims to combine technology competitiveness with production, quality, and supply capabilities.

MCNEX is expanding its business footprint beyond mobile and automotive cameras into autonomous sensing, humanoid robotics, XR and wearables, automotive semiconductor packaging, and stronger global manufacturing capabilities.
This transformation goes beyond the presentation of a future vision. Through technology development, global showcases, new business initiatives, and the expansion of overseas manufacturing infrastructure, the company is steadily building the capabilities required for future growth.
MCNEX will continue to move beyond being simply a company that manufactures cameras and create new possibilities as a sensing technology company that designs perception and connectivity for future industries.
By connecting precision sensing, actuation, semiconductor packaging, and global manufacturing capabilities, MCNEX aims to support customers developing next-generation mobility, robotics, XR, wearable, and intelligent device solutions.
